FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recycling method of spent lining material of electrolytic cell for production of primary aluminum for lining of cathode devices of electrolyzers. Method comprises cutting process opening in lower part of end wall of casing of cathode device of electrolytic cell for extraction of used lining material, removal of brickwork of set of end wall of basement, after which non-graphitized carbon is extracted, which retains its initial properties, moves to mounting point of cathode device of electrolysis unit for production of primary aluminum and is filled in it. At that, removal of spent lining material is performed by means of reciprocating movement of device for recycling spent lining materials, and extraction of waste lining material can be carried out through both end walls of cathode device. Disclosed is a device for recycling spent lining materials, made in the form of a screw working member, moved through a process opening inside the cathode device of the electrolyser on a cantilever guide roller support using a trolley, in the central part of which there is a noria to move the extracted material from the output end of the transporting screw into the hopper located behind it.;EFFECT: reduced consumption of lining material.;11 cl, 3 tbl, 4 dwg
