The report reviews U.S. foreign and domestic markets for softwood construction materials, giving special consideration to trade patterns among Japan, Canada, and the United States. For alternative assumptions about market responses to a ban of U.S. softwood log exports displays impacts on selected measures of U.S. softwood stumpage, lumber, and plywood markets.
