摘要

A series of tests has been made with a CFR engine to determine the effect of inletvalve Capacity, inlet and exhaust pressure, and valve timing on the volumetric efficiency at various speeds. Three combinations of inlet and exhaust pressures and seven valve-timing arrangements were used, Special cylinder heads with different sizes of inlet valves were provided. The engine was tested with the inlet valves operated at different lifts.
