International aviation fuel handling equipment standards

Since the publication of the first edition of IP Model Code of Safe Practice Part 7 - Airports in 1965, the El has continued to provide publications to facilitate the safe and efficient handling of aviation fuel at international airports. In 2000, the development and publication of these titles began to be undertaken jointly with the American Petroleum Institute. This relationship resulted in the issue of 15 jointly-branded titles until the end of 2009 (see Figure 1). Following an organisational review, API confirmed that from 30 June 2010, the El would take over as the sole provider of the portfolio of publications. The jointly-branded titles have been superseded by technically identical El reprints (document reference numbers and edition numbers remaining the same), made available through the El only.
