Korea, Japan Tighten Global LNG Markets

Tokyo Electric Power Co. (Tepco) and Korea Gas Crop. (Kogas) lead the world in purchases of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by a mile, pulling in around 16 million tons per year (380,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day) each. And for differing reasons, both are at the moment buying up every molecule they can lay their hands on.
