Once you get to know George, the influence that the Marine Corps had on him years ago is quite apparent. His dedication to country and fellow man is as solid as rock. That regimented motivation that shines through his (no challenge is too large) attitude is stunning! The Marines trained him well, and that unmistakable determination and drive has not diminished over the years. The enthusiasm that he brings to his care of active people and to his academic and teaching endeavors in physical therapy and athletic training is contagious and inspiring. I am fortunate to have been influenced by his enthusiasm during his lectures on many occasions. His extensive preparation, in-depth knowledge, and convincing delivery are among the best. Despite being in his eighth decade of life, his knowledge of the training, conditioning, and rehabilitation sciences is unsurpassed. He can give you the historical perspective of sports medicine from 50 years ago and the latest scientific medical evidence based on the most recent clinical study. Many clinicians can give you one or the other, but few can give you both. He has stood the test of time. He is a true renaissance man!
