Use of the Straessler-Kittel theory of phase transitions: thermodynamic properties and application to the Verwey transition

摘要

Thermodynamic quantities derived from the Straessler-Kittel theory of phase transitions are derived and evaluated. The applicability of these results to the Verwey transition of magnetite is briefly discussed.
