摘要

1,3,5-trimethylpyrazolium tetrafluoroborate room-temperature ionic liquid was prepared and employed for the selective oxidation of alkyl/benzyl alcohols catalysed by ferric chloride in the presence of molecular oxygen. Products were obtained in excellent yields and in a state of fine purity. Moreover, the synthesised 1,3,5-trimethylpyrazolium tetrafluoroborate ionic liquid could be recycled for at least three runs without loss of significant activity.
