Rosneft Eyes Gas Blocks In Vietnam, Mozambique

Russian oil giant Rosneft has inked cooperation agreements with state oil and gas companies in Vietnam and Mozambique aimed at creating new opportunities in those countries. A memorandum of understanding signed between Rosneft, Russia’s state Zarubezhneft and state Petrovietnam on the sidelines of the 21st World Petroleum Congress in Moscow calls for the companies to consider joint geological exploration in Vietnamese offshore Blocks 125 and 126. The parties may expand cooperation beyond the two blocks “if new mutually beneficial partnership prospects are detected” during exploration, Rosneft said.
