Changes in plasma levetiracetam concentrations in pregnant women and their breastfed infants

The antiepileptic drug (AED) levetiracetam is increasingly being used in women with epilepsy of childbearing potential and, therefore, during pregnancy. There is, however, a lack of data on neonatal plasma levetiracetam concentrations during the first days after birth, and on levetiracetam pharmacokinetics during pregnancy and lactation.
