Structure Revision of (22E)-Ergosta-7,22-diene-3 beta,5 alpha,6 beta,9 alpha,14 alpha-pentol from the Spores of the Medicinal Mushroom Ganoderma lucidum

Careful reexamination of the published H-1 and C-13 NMR. spectral data of (22E)-ergosta-7,22-diene-3 beta,5 alpha,6 beta,9 alpha,14 alpha-pentol (1), isolated from the spores of the medicinal mushroom Ganoderma lucidum, indicates that, in reality, the compound is (22E)-ergosta-7,22-diene-43,5 alpha,6 beta,9 alpha,14 beta-pentol (5).
