The NEPAD-Fish for All initiative brought together fisheries experts from over 20 African countries and regional organizations for three consultative workshops in May and June 2005, in Malawi, Senegal and Egypt.The meetings provided a technical reviewof development options for inland fisheries, coastal and marine fisheries, and aquaculture, respectively, and proposed a number of priority areas for further investments.The results of the consultations were discussed in technical meetings at Abuja (22-23 August, 2005) and fed into the preparation of the NEPAD Action Plan for Fisheries and Aquaculture.Three technical review papers were prepared following the regional consultations and abstracts/summaries are given below.The complete texts can be downloaded from www.fishforall.org.
