Brazil's 2009/10 Centre/South cane crash reached 109.711 mln tonnes by June 1, up by 43.6% from 76.426 mln crushed by the same time a year ago, the Sugar Cane Industry Association (Unica) said. The region produced 5.038 mln tonnes of sugar, tel quel, by June 1, compared with 3.201 mln a year ago. Ethanol output totalled 4.609 bln litres, up from 3.281 bln last year. Hydrous ethanol output increased to 3.794 bln litres from 2.330 bln, while anhydrous output fell to 815.8 mln litres from 951.0 mln.
