Energy Institute launched after successful merger

Last month saw the official launch of the new Energy Institute, formed by a merger between the Institute of Petroleum and the Institute of Energy. The newly created El was announced by Stephen Timms MP Minister of State fur Energy E-Commerce anti Postal Services, at a House of Commons reception on 9 September. Leading figures were brought together to mark the official launch and speeches were given by Paddy Tipping MR Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for Energy Studies (PGES), and Co-Chairmen of the El, Professor Martin Fry and Dr Pierre Jungels CBE.
