This year's Gulfood has shown that the trade fair has clearly outgrown its humble beginnings: 3.800 exhibitors from 88 countries and 110 international pavilions clearly highlight the growing importance of the show. It brands itself 'the world's largest and most influential annual trade show for the food and beverage industry'. The growing importance of the exhibition can be attributed to the booming consumer markets in the Middle East - and the favourable timing of the show within the marketing year."The participation this year from so many international leading companies in the global food and beverage industry is a clear indication of the important position that Gulfood holds on a global level. With many developed markets delivering minimal growth,the Middle East region represents huge potential for companies and Gulfood is a key facilitator for entry into these highly lucrative markets," said Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of the exhibition.
