LETTER: Firsts in fire

We read with some interest your article headed 'Groundbreaking fire resistant glass floor' (GA June, p63). We note Pilkington Glass's and TW Ide's advice that their system is innovative and would advise that Roger Wilde Ltd in conjunction with the St Gobain group of companies also developed such an innovative composite fire-rated glass and frame system over two years ago. This composite system uses Eckelt 'Litefloor' structural glass incorporating slip resistant carborundum coating and vetrotech contraflam fire-resistant glass.
