Engel focuses on energy efficient moulding

At the Chinaplas show in May, machinery maker Engel exhibited energy efficient injection moulding machines. One model on show was the ENGEL duo 5550/700 injection moulding machine which produced engine covers on a mould from Mecaplast. This machine can come with the company's ecodrive, comprising a servomotor with variable capacity pump, and uses up to 70% less energy than conventional hydraulic machines, says Engel.
