摘要

The Swaziland Nurses Association (SNA), in collaboration with the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the Danish Nurses Organization (DNO), has opened the first WellnessCentre of Excellence for Health Care Workers in Swaziland. The centre will serve health workers in the public and private sector and their immediate families.Health care workers in Swaziland are nearly overwhelmed by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. With limited resources and often working in unfavourable conditions, they provide care for patients, and respond to family and community needs in their off work time. By supporting the health of health workers, and encouraging them to stay in their jobs and in the country, the centre addresses the health care worker retention crisis and strengthens the health care system in Swaziland.
