Introducing the International Journal of Nursing Knowledge

I know that despite regular updates from me about the changes occurring with the journal, it is still quite surprising to see them come to fruition in the newly named International Journal of Nursing Knowledge. As with any transition, it is a good time to appraise and think about changes and their overall impact. While moving NANDA-I news to the NANDA-I Web site may have felt like a loss, it does provide more room for scholarly articles, thereby improving the journal's potential for impact factor ranking-an important aspect for the overall success of the journal. Changing the journal's frequency from four issues a year to three may give some a sense that the journal is in decline as far as readership or submissions, but this is far from the reality. Rather, this temporary modification in production of the journal coincides with changes such as more articles per publication, a new title, a different binding, and a new cover design. I can assure you that we have a robust number of submissions annually and our time from submission to publication is expedient.
