IT'S A BIT DISTRESSING to see how badly scratched the plastics on our Auris have become after 20,000 miles in our hands. It doesn't take much to leave a permanent scar on the mostly hard and shiny plastics that line the interior; even something as innocuous as a coat button can cause damage. The trim panels inside the boot are now more scratched than unmarked, and the moulding around the key barrel is being torn to pieces.
