Non-fragile controller design for a class of multivariable bilinear systems

摘要

In this paper, a non-fragile controller is presented for multivariable bilinear systems via state feedback. The controller fragility can be described as the sensitivity of the controller to variations in controller parameters. The proposed method leads to the synthesis of controller which is non-fragile towards a special form of uncertainty in the controller parameters. Based on the Lyapunov method, the stability conditions of the overall closed loop multivariable bilinear systems in the presence of the additive controller gain variations are formulated in terms of solutions to a linear matrix inequality (LMI). Sufficient conditions for the existence of desired controller gains are given in terms of LMI. Important issues for the stability analysis and design are remarked. Finally, a numerical example and a practical application of a Headbox control system of paper-making machine are given to illustrate the design procedure and performance of our proposed controller with comparative results.
