12 August:Raw material cost pressures that have been battering US coatings producer Valspar in the past 12 months should ease going forward,analyst Merrill Lynch(ML)predicted in a research report.ML said the costs of acrylic acid and titanium dioxide(TiO2)may have peaked.Raw material costs account for 80% of Valspar's cost of goods sold.
