摘要

Trap magmatism was a natural source of Ca and C0_2 for sedimentation processes in the Upper Cretaceous period, and seismicity was not a decisive factor. At that time the C0_2 concentration in the atmosphere was higher than the current one by an orderof magnitude, the climate was close to humid everywhere, and the ocean was shallow. At the present period of geological climate warming, periodic bursts of catastrophic planetary seismicity are a determining factor in the formation of climate anomalies and disasters.
