摘要

The geomorphological features of the southwestern Caspian Lowland were described. A model that simulates the development of large natural objects in the studied region and variations in different natural processes was proposed. The Late Pleistocene—Holocene epochs were marked by significant transformations of the natural objects in the region. The river network was subject to substantial changes, deflation processes were activated dramatically, and the coastline was reconstructed. Most surface bodies of the lowland were formed in the Holocene and are distinguished by a young age and tendency to change.
