WTI Falls Below 59/B on 12 March

Crude oil prices nosedived in New York on 12 March,with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dropping by 1.13/b to close at 58.92/b for April contracts.Prices held up much better in London,with Brent for April shedding no more than 0.39/b to 60.74/b.There has thus been an inversion in the differential between the two crudes,since WTI usually fetches a premium over Brent.
