摘要

Spatial navigation learning is a major topic of interest in behavioral neuroscience. Most of the effort has focused on the effect of gonadal steroids on spatial memory and learning Testosterone regulates various behavioral and neuroendocrine functions in males. In the brain testosterone not only acts through androgen receptors in its original form, but also through its metabolites; the most important was revealed to be estradiol. Estradiol locally converted from testosterone by aromatase seems to be the masculinazing agent during development (Galea et al, 1995).
