Beach Plans More Oz Wells

Australian mid-sized player Beach Energy said on Wednesday it will drill seven more exploration wells in the PEL 92 area of the western Cooper Basin in South Australia. Beach has a 75% operating interest in the permit, with compatriot Cooper Energy holding the other 25%. The exploration campaign entails capital investment of A$24 million ($25.8 million) and will run until June 2012. Tw o wells carried over from the current 11-well program in PEL 92 will also be drilled.
