摘要

The well known advantages offered by uniting power systems are a prerequisite for integrating the largest Eastern and Western power systems into the Euro-Asian power pool. This pool could embrace the Western European power pool (UCTE), the Central European power pool (CENTREL), the United Power System of Russia (UPS), and also the adjacent power systems of Baltic and CIS countries. The necessary emergency and frequency regulation hot reserve for the Euro-Asian power pool for ensuring the required reliability level of such an important and extended power pool is estimated. The estimation is based on an analysis of multiyear data on the failure rates of the generating equipment at power stations, and using the theory of irregular fluctuation of the consumer's load in power systems.
