ENSURING a future in the family business for their children is one of the core drivers for Josie and Blair's success. Blair's mother Clova is still heavily involved in Angus Pastoral Company. Blair and Josie have four children -twin 14-year-old girls,Madelaine and Lauren, and two boys, John and David, who are 12 and 10 respectively. Blair and Josie have a fairly clear succession plan in place, should their children be interested in the family business later in life. "A lot of rural families fall towhat I call the big pie syndrome where mum and dad have all the properties and then the children cut it all up," he said. "Our idea is that well build something they can all be a part of which will be quite diverse and that they can all contribute to andbenefit from.
