"I wanted to learn more about almonds - how they are grown and processed, what happens before we get them," said Louis Hanssens, son of a long-time Belgian customer. He got his wish, thanks to Blue Diamond and Joe and Annelie Lauweri-jssen of Arbuckle. Louis spent three weeks in July on the Lauwerijssen's ranch, working alongside Joe in the orchard, repairing irrigation systems, staking replants, and spraying weeds.
