Repsol appears so confident of success in the Angolan pre-salt that it is tendering for pre-front end engineering and design (pre-FEED) while drilling its first well. The company only spudded the Locosso deepwater well in Block 22 in July but is already inviting bids for a company to: develop options screening, assess technology, provide cost es- timates, select and mature the optimum development concept and assess the execution strategy.
