Repsol adds to Angola Kwanza pre-salt bounty

Repsol is testing the commercial-ity of a new pre-salt discovery in the increasingly more attractive Kwanza Basin off Angola, as previously revealed by AOG. The Spanish firm is more normally a minority partner offshore Africa but holds operatorship of Block 22 where it is completing the Locosso well in the basin where hopes for analogous geology to Brazil are gradually being fulfilled. The well was spudded in July, and as previously exclusively revealed by AOG (see 18 September) it is already tendering for pre-front end engineering and design (pre-FEED).
