Veterinary Ireland President's message

Dear Veterinary Ireland Member,I am genuinely honoured to take on the role of Veterinary Ireland President for 2018.At the outset, I would like to thank my fellow members in the Food Animal Interest Group for their kind nomination, and my colleagues on the Veterinary Ireland National Council for electing me to this position in early 2017.1 would like to thank John O'Connor, the outgoing President, for the industry and skill set he brought to his Presidency, and I would also like to thank the staff at Veterinary Ireland Headquarters for their ongoing hard work. I suspect that the members of Veterinary Ireland do not realise the enormity of the task for the staff, of running the organisation on a day-to-day basis.
