H1 sales rise by 9% at Tempur Sealy

Lexington,Kentucky-Tempur Sealy,which makes polyure-thane foam and conventional mattresses,had sales up 9% at $1.41 bn the first half of 2019.Gross profit across the business rose 10.7% and hit $595.2m the first half of 2019.The company discusses the second quarter segment performance in its SEC filing.Looking at business in the Americas in the second quarter,sales rose by 11.42% compared with the 2018 period.They reached $588.1m in the second quarter of 2019.This compares with $527.8m the 2018 period.At the same time,gross profit in the division increased by 17.990/0.It hit $240m the second quarter of 2019.This compares with 2203.4m the 2018 period.
