SATI delegation visits New Zealand and Australian vine nurseries as part of the SATI plant material project

The nursery tour forms part of a comprehensive plant material project that was launched by SATI earlier this year, which aims to investigate international best practices and standards to consider to further improve the quality of grapevines supplied to South African table grape growers.The delegation consisted of Jacques Ferreira, technical project manager at SATI; Andrew Teubes, international vine marketer, viticulturist and nurseryman from Voor-Groenberg Nurseries; Jannie Bosman, nursery manager from Bosman Adama Nursery; and Reynecke Viljoen, a table grape producer from De Vlei Farming in the Hex River Valley. This article reflects some of their observations during this trip.
