The University of Alaska Fairbanks is the site of the Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station's Fairbanks Farm. For almost 100 years, demonstration gardens have been planted to teach the people of this area ways to raise successful family food gardens. The site is now a popular stop for tourists and local inhabitants during the summer months. Dr. Pat Holloway has worked diligently over the past 10 years to turn the demonstration gardens into an outstanding botanical garden. Once a year, we take great pleasure in showing off our garden by inviting the public to attend "A Day at the Georgeson Botanical Garden."
