摘要

The influence of rates and methods of phosphate fertilization on productivity of common vetch (V. sativa) was studied in two field experiments in Jordan. Each experiment consisted of four levels of phosphorus (0, 17.5, 35.0 and 52.5 kg P ha-1) and two methods of placement (banding and broadcast). The common vetch grown at Maru had higher biological and grain yield than those grown at Jordan University of Science and Technology. Grain yield, biological yield, pod length, plant height and harvest index were increased significantly in both locations with phosphorus application compared with the control. Grain yield was significantly greater with band placement than the broadcast method of phosphorus application at both locations.
