BIOFUEL CONTENT TO RISE TO 10% IN 2019

The Minister for Communications, Climate Action and the Environment, Richard Bruton, announced that the biofuel content in transportation will rise from 8% to 10% by volume on January 1, 2019. The move is expected to lead to over 70 mln litres of fossil fuel being replaced with biofuel and reduce Ireland’s emissions by almost 200,000 tonnes of carbon each year.
