Politics and palliative care: Ghana

摘要

Prior to independence from Britain in the 1950's, the Republic of Ghana was known as the Gold Coast, reflecting the historical mineral wealth of this part of the African continent. The presidential constitutional democracy has been recently reported as having an improving economic prosperity and institutional performance (see below) which, when coupled with political stability, makes it one of the most influential regional powers in Africa.
