This year, International Journal of Palliative Nursing (IJPN) attended the Association for Palliative Medicine's annual conference, which took place over two days at the Waterfront in Belfast, Ireland. The event was a great networking opportunity for the journal and I had the chance to sit in a number of highly interesting talks. Conferences provide opportunities for academics and people with a particular interest to share their work with peers worldwide, meet other academics, and establish new working relationships with people in the field.
