Sustainability

摘要

Sustainability means preserving a system for the good of future generations. In other words, sustainable enterprise management does not focus on the short-term success of a product or service, but rather aims to make a positive contribution over the long term. At the same time, attention must be paid to ecological, social and economic aspects. There have been many long discussions in IVK as to whether and how sustainability aspects can be used to create added value for society and the economy without taking action just for the sake of it and incurring unnecessary costs. However, now that politicians and standardisation committees have taken up the topic, the future direction has been set. Even individual sectors of the industry, i.e. large-scale building projects, occasionally demand to see proof of compliance with 'sustainable' building practices. The objective of resource-efficient building is specified in the building products regulation EU/305/2011 (BRCW 7).
