Chinese bauxite imports reach annual highs, alumina imports drop to annual lows

There is plenty to digest in the latest Chinese customs statistics released for June 2017. On the aluminaside, imports slumped to annual low levels, with imports from Indonesia and India exceeding imports fromAustralia. On the bauxite side, imported swelled to annual high levels, and imports from Australia, Guineaand Malaysia rose strongly.
