摘要

Since the introduction of lead (Pb) isotope provenance studies, with their promise of precision and accuracy -thanks mainly to the uniqueness of their ratios in geological settings and relative immutability through anthropogenic processes- the measurement and application of Pb isotopes has matured and spread to a diversity of fields. In particular, Pb isotopic provenance studies have a long history of use and development in archaeological studies of metals, pigments, glasses, and glazes.
