Paper from bran

Italian paper manufacturer Favrni and Barilla, one of the country's largest food companies, have jointly created Cartacrusca-"the first paper to be made from bran residues that can no longer be used for human consumption". Following its experience with the Crush range of ecological papers made from agro-industrial waste, Favini teamed up with Barilla, which was looking for ways to make better use of its by-products, and bran in particular.
