The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a rice bran or barley bran fermented material containing gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), and a rice bran or barley bran fermented material containing GABA produced by the manufacturing method. The manufacturing method of a rice bran or barley bran fermented material containing GABA comprises the steps of: mixing MSG, rice bran or barley bran, and water; sterilizing the mixture; cooling the mixture; inoculating a functional lactic acid bacteria starter in the mixture; secondarily fermenting the mixture; centrifuging the fermented product; and pulverizing the fermented liquid through lyophilization.
