OPIOID PRESCRIBING IN WALES INCREASES BY 30% IN A DECADE

Opioid prescribing in Wales has increased by 30% in the past decade, according to figures published by the Welsh government. The opioid prescribing figures revealed that 1,594,473 opioid items were prescribed in Wales in 2018/2019, compared with 1,108,098 items in 2008/2009.
