Background: Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is characterized by TH2-skewed inflammation and increased colonization by Staphylococcus aureus. IFN-lambda 1 is known for its antiviral activity, but there is little information on its antibacterial role.
