Peabody Energy to Take over Metallurgical Coal Assets in USA

Peabody Energy Corporation, USA will end up taking over metallurgical coal assets in the U.S. from DrummondCompany Inc.This is to fulfill a one-time takeover of not only Shoal Creek coal mine, an existing metallurgical coal mine inAlabama but also the various facilities belonging to this coal mine including the coal handling and preparation plant(CHPP), and the takeover amount is US$400 million. If the approval can be obtained from the regulating authority, thetakeover of this coal mine and so on is slated for completion in the end of 2018.
