Bayan Resources Suspends Operation of Multiple Coal Mines Temporarily

It has become obvious that PT Bayan Resources Tbk, a major coal mining company in Indonesia has suspended operation of multiple coal mines temporarily as a countermeasure against a new-type corona virus infective disease (COVID-19). The shut-down period is until April 30. Bayan Resources now has been developing the coal business in the Provinces of East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan. The said company is running such 4 coal mines in the Province of East Kalimantan as (1) Tabang Concessions, (2) Teguh Sinarabadi/Firman Ketaun Perkasa (TSA/FKP), (3) Perkasa Inakakerta (PIK) and (4) Gunungbayan Pratamacoal (GBP) as well as such 1 coal mine in the Province of South Kalimantan as (5) Wahana Baratama Mining (WBM).
