Following a recent period of installing a lot of new equipment, the Hydrology team at Tasman has been going through a catch-up phase, including overdue maintenance. As well as putting in new radios and loggers, a number of raingauges have been upgraded to the new standard, with Chris Strang also building a gauge for our use at high altitude. Chris has also begun a trial to look at the effect of reducers on the top of storage gauges, and initial results show a greater effect than we thought. More on that to come.
